Though the title might describe a more general overview with the material in this post, the references and data are provided from a scholastic high school athlete with less than a full training year in the event. Though his performance history in the pentathlon is extremely small to-date, his athletic potential and individual event growth appears strong. This assessment is from high enthusiasm in the sport and a strong attention to detail.
The intent of this page will be as a sounding board, so to speak, providing both preparation and active performance info during the training year. As this information is throughput in this blog, I hope there will be sufficient feedback to benefit him, as well as, those that may post followup comments.
Cameron Donoghue is a high school senior at Barnstable High School in Hyannis, Massachusetts. To my knowledge, Cameron has participated in virtually event sport that was offered in the local school system. His family, as well, have a very strong athletic foundation and history with sound related attributes involved.
Last spring's entry in the pentathlon was Cameron's first ever! In fact, it wasn't until last December when Cameron started hurdling and horizontal jumping during the indoor track season.
The following is performance reference data from Cameron's most recent related competition and work sessions:
